About Rebecca Harry

I am an illustrator living and working in Cardiff, UK. As a child I loved to draw but back then I would never have believed I’d be lucky enough to do it as an actual job when I grew up.

 I studied Graphic Design in Exeter where I specialised in illustration and after graduating, I made designs for my own greetings card company.
But my dream was always to create children's books. Whilst selling my greetings cards at an international fair I was approached by Egmont publishers. My first book was published by them in 1999 and now from my little studio, I have illustrated over 50 children’s books including picture books, baby books and middle grade novels.

I create my pieces using acrylic paints, pencil, charcoal and pastels, sometimes finishing off digitally. My work has been published across the world in countries such as Japan, USA, France, Germany and Korea.

Clients include: Pan Macmillan, Campbell, Nosy Crow, Little Tiger Press, Stripes, Gründ, Scholastic, Candlewick, Loewe, Firefly, Atebol, Quarto, Morfem.
